In Adventure on Nemesis Mountain by Annie McMahon, Emilio is a shy boy who has never really had many friends. He loves nature and bugs. He also loves to learn. Unfortunately for Emilio, there is a bully named Hans who likes to pick on him. Hans is always making fun of Emilio and likes to call him bug-boy. Then one day in class, after being teased all day, Emilio snaps. He goes up to Hans and yells at him for bullying him. In his rage, Emilio nearly punches Hans in the face. Emilio gets into trouble for it and is worried that he will not be allowed to go on the nature trip that is coming up.
Adventure on Nemesis Mountain is an amazing book and it gave me great pleasure to read it. It was hard to tear myself away from the pages. I especially loved how Emilio was able to use his knowledge of nature to save the bully he hates and himself in the dangerous forest. Your children will love all the twists and turns Adventures on Nemesis Mountain by Annie McMahon has to offer. I know that I did. This story was amazing and kept my attention, wanting to know what would happen next. I hope to find more books as good as this one.
