The poems in the heartfelt collection Birthed, Rebirthed, and Born: Turned Around Again by Joseph Michael Shucraft express deep hope in Jesus Christ even during times of sorrow. Through the experiences covered, God is seen as faithful, an ever-present guide, a shepherd, and more. The first poem in the collection, “New Day, New Beginning,” is a poem of praise that glorifies God for his almighty perfection and his wisdom. The poem “He’s There Without You” questions where God is during painful times but ends with the revelation of his continual presence even in such times. The collection also contains a delightful touch of romance through poems such as “Wedding,” a poem in which the narrator expresses the pride and happiness he feels towards his bride.

I loved how Birthed, Rebirthed, and Born is authentic in its depiction of the Christian walk: with its highs and lows but also filled with hope in a loving Father. Throughout the collection, Shucraft skilfully captures the emotions associated with each experience. The poems also answer significant questions about God’s faithfulness and his willingness to be involved in our lives and they share uplifting truth about his caring nature. The collection also effectively employs metaphors to paint vibrant and striking images of the scenes in the poems. The love poems included add a lovely twist to the collection. They instill hope and are a beautiful image of romantic love. Birthed, Rebirthed, and Born: Turned Around Again by Joseph Michael Shucraft contains moving poems about hope and love.

Birthed, Rebirthed, and Born is a compilation of poetry inspired by the Bible and written by Joseph Michael Shucraft. This book consists of three chapters; Part I, Part II and Part III. Part I shows the love of Jesus Christ and His great sacrifices for the redemption of His world. Part II includes a range of human struggles and how to overcome them through Christ’s teachings and His words. Part III shows how Christ can be the only light we need in our darkest moments to pick us up when we have fallen. All the parts, when combined, create well-rounded messages that will surely leave you filled with the life and love of Jesus Christ.

Birthed, Rebirthed, and Born by Joseph Michael Shucraft is a brilliantly crafted series of poetry around Jesus Christ and His endless love for His creation. The messages behind this book will fill your heart with warmth and leave you wanting more. Shucraft’s old English writing style gives this book more personality in the messages being delivered. The passages were well constructed with a clear direction toward the subject matter. I really liked how Shucraft has broken down the poetry into various distinct parts, that when combined, create a very well-balanced picture of God’s love for us. Each poem spans no more than a page long and is kept short and sweet with a strong message in between. I would definitely recommend this book for those who are searching for God’s love, as you will surely find it written within these lines.

Birthed, Rebirthed, and Born by Joseph Michael Shucraft is a unique look at Christian poetry. You get the feeling that you are on a journey with him and that you are following him as he is finding God. The poems are deep and not in a traditional style which might make it difficult to follow, but it is worth taking a look. The poem “You Are” was a very touching poem. “New Day” was one that stood out for its line “I feel less broken and I am okay.” That would resonate with any believer, new or reborn. It has very stunning moments, and some are very complex, but it is never a dull read. You might not understand it at first but give his words time in your heart and you will see what he means.

Birthed, Rebirthed, and Born: Turned Around Again by Joseph Michael Shucraft was not an easy read, in all honesty. You had to let the poems take their time with you but in the end, the message came through. The poem “Forgiveness” was stunning and swept me off my feet with how true the words are. However, I do not believe that this is a book for new believers; they might find it a bit confusing. You almost have to reread the book to fully grasp what he is trying to say. I was moved by some poems and others had no effect, and that left me wanting. Deep, profound, complex and so much more than regular poetry, it is art from the heart. Inspired by The Spirit and gifted to us.

Birthed, Rebirthed, and Born: Turned Around Again by Joseph Michael Shucraft is a stunning collection of poems that stems from a journey through trials that led him to discover God's light and promise. The poems are poignant and come from a personal place with a strong voice and desire to inspire others through their walk with Christ. Each of the poems explores the feeling of being broken and lost and the transition of discovering salvation in a journey that Shucraft uses to highlight as being obtainable for everyone. Various themes are incorporated throughout such as disorder, faith, God's love, forgiveness, and mercy. The collection tells the story of transforming into a new person - from a place of brokenness into one of true happiness - which is told through poems that include Moonlit, Christ in You, Insanity to Brevity, Wedding, and Through the Ocean.

The collection highlights various themes that come to life through poems that are poignant, emotional, and stunning. The poems weave between themes about disorder and feeling lost and the uplifting hope that comes with discovering God's love. Several commonalities are featured throughout Joseph Michael Shucraft's writing such as the strength in the deep emotional tone that allows you to get to know him a little more with each poem. The collection is rooted within a personal journey of discovery and faith that balances the brokenness of feeling lost with the change that hope brings. Disorder and the battle against evil are highlighted in various poems such as Brood, which warns about the lies of evil and sets the powerful tone of transformation that the collection embodies. The writing captures the essence of every emotion that's put into each verse and is shown through various poems such as Devil is in the Night, which describes nightmares and the desperate need for God's love. Each of the poems has a specific word choice that captures the powerful visuals of stumbling in terror, being blind and burdened, and having a shattered appearance.

These poems strike a balance with the faith and hope experienced after repenting and letting love into our hearts - with examples seen in New Day which describes a shattered appearance restoring and Outstretched Arms which depict becoming a different man. The relief of hope is significant in several of the poems, such as You Are which describes God as being mercy, holiness, glory, true happiness, and providing a light in the darkness and strength for the weak. The collection is hopeful and inspirational with several poems that are bound to be favorites such as Forgiveness, which is a powerful poem that encompasses the desperate need for hope. Birthed, Rebirthed, and Born is a collection of poems that explore themes of disorder and feeling lost, hope, and forgiveness explored throughout the journey to seek out and understand how to achieve light in our lives.
