No matter the language, age, or level of knowledge, expressing ourselves is essential for everyone. At the same time, communication skills are inherent in people, but improving our conversation skills will make us more charismatic and empathetic, and give us self-confidence. A.A. Sõbrad teaches us that each situation requires different responses and to communicate correctly it is necessary to first listen carefully. The learning process can be long, but the results are worth it. Communication Skills: 9 Simple Messages also talks about many other aspects, including body language and its importance, because with this skill and a good posture we can gain confidence and create a better impression.
I liked the urgency with which A.A. Sõbrad explains the topics. Not only does he talk about how to be a better speaker or how to express yourself properly, but he examines the give and take aspects very seriously. There is advice such as thinking before you speak because your initial thoughts may not be the most appropriate or well structured. Words can change the way a person treats you and can trigger different emotions, which is why they are so significant. The emotional aspect is very well managed as the author reminds us that a conversation should be an exchange of ideas. Communication Skills shows how words are influential and it's up to us to use that power wisely. Seeking to improve is important because the more you know about the subject, the more freely you can talk about it.
