Dell's Demons: A Southwestern Desert Thriller is the fifth novel in the Red Mist Girl series by ML Biddison. Deputy Dell was no stranger to guns and bad men, but nothing could have prepared her for what happened next. Her friend Pan was locked up in a southwestern jail, so Dell didn’t hesitate to go out of her way to get her friend out. She looked forward to visiting her adopted home once again. However, she had no idea that this light-hearted trip would turn deadly. Some old enemies were waiting for her to slip up, but they were the least of her worries. A strange man was hot on her heels and ready to teach Dell a lesson. Was rejecting the advances of the stranger the biggest mistake she ever made? Or did Dell have a chance to avoid the man and reach safety?

The moment I read the opening paragraph of Dell's Demons, I knew I was in for a treat. I fell in love with ML Biddison’s witty narrative style before I fell in love with Dell. The Mustang-driving, hard-hitting heroine had my attention the moment she was introduced into the story. I loved her responses and the way she handled situations. The descriptions were fantastic and the imagery was realistic. I felt like I was transported right next to Dell as she faced multiple challenges without a hitch in her stride. Her development was fantastic and I enjoyed her well-rounded character. I am amazed I never found this series before because it is exactly how I like novels. I wish I could give it more than 5 stars!
