Distance Learning Secrets is a short digestible volume of advice penned by author E. Danica Lovell, which promises readers the ability to ‘Study Online Without Losing Your Mind’. Designed for students of all ages who are undertaking online distance courses, this brief guide focuses specifically on the aspects of managing one’s life and organization for the purposes of productivity. Topics include task order and organization, advice on how to maintain focus on the final goal despite other distractions in life, scheduling, and an overall viewpoint on the concept of ‘not having enough time’. The guide aims to both inspire and educate through project management strategies with a view to overall success.
Author E. Danica Lovell presents a hard and fast approach to organization that many aspire to, but few people seem to truly achieve. The strategies of motivation and how to strip away the unnecessary in order to get organized seem daunting, but the more you read into this short, succinct guide, the more it makes sense to convert these harsh changes into overall success. Though there is no promise that the strategies will be easy, Lovell’s smooth narrative and clear prose do inspire a feeling of success like that of a strict personal trainer, making readers believe that the commitment will pay off and give them the success they desire. Overall, I found Distance Learning Secrets to be filled with excellent organizational ideas, inspiring confidence in the method which will enable readers to take on the tough tasks ahead of them.
