Don't Go is written by Dianne Miller. Little Bunny has to attend his first day of preschool and is having a hard time letting his mother leave to go about her day. The teacher asks him to help her build with blocks so his mother can slip out unnoticed. When Little Bunny realizes that his mother has left, he gets angry and lashes out. Can the teacher calm him down so he can adjust to preschool life? Will Little Bunny relax and make some friends? Will he try to enjoy the rest of his day at preschool even though he just wants his mom to stay with him?

I love how easily Dianne Miller has outlined the common problem of separation anxiety in Don't Go. The illustrations boldly demonstrate how separation anxiety works and how difficult it can be for kids to learn to be without a parent for a short time. I love how the teacher took charge and allowed Little Bunny to vent his frustrations as well as letting him know that lashing out was not as necessary as he thought. Miller has taken an age-old issue and turned it into a wonderful tale that any kid can relate to and learn from. I hope to read more of her stories like Don’t Go with Little Bunny learning many other valuable lessons that all kids have to adjust to. I recommend Don’t Go to anyone with young children, especially children getting ready to start preschool or kindergarten.

This is a cute little book with a very relevant story line for kids who are just about to start school. The illustrations are very simple and eye catchy. Enjoyed reading it.
