Enough to Share by Mary Helen Berg is a children’s book set in Canada’s Great Bear Rainforest. It introduces kids to two unusual animals: the Spirit Bear, a rare bear species, and the Sea Wolf, a wolf that swims along the coast, hunting in the ocean. The book explains how the rainforest once had enough food and space for all living things, from salmon to trees. However, as the story continues, actions such as logging, pollution, overfishing, and climate change begin to threaten this balance. Fewer fish, damaged forests, and storms make it harder for animals to survive. As such, they must now compete for much-needed resources. Fortunately, the book also shows how people are trying to protect the rainforest and restore balance once again.

Mary Helen Berg’s Enough to Share uses calm, engaging storytelling to introduce children to environmental concerns. The writing is simple and easy for children to understand. Sue Todd’s illustrations bring warmth to each page without pulling attention away from the overall story. The Great Bear Rainforest is portrayed as both a real place and a space for learning, revealing how people, animals, and land are connected. The Spirit Bear and Sea Wolf are presented more as symbols of the ecosystem than as characters with their own stories, and that fits the book well. The story does a great job of explaining that nature works best when nothing more than necessary is taken. Overall, this fascinating book will engage children who love animals, nature, and science. It is also an ideal choice for adults who want a simple way to introduce conservation and environmental care to their kids.

Enough to Share by Mary Helen Berg is a well-written book that educates children about the impacts of human activities on the ecosystem. In the Great Bear Rainforest, the spirit bear and sea wolf live together and share everything. However, their home is changing as humans exploit the trees, land, and sea. Fish that serve as food are becoming scarce, the water is more polluted, and there is very little for the spirit bear and sea wolf to share. To protect the Great Bear Rainforest and the animals that inhabit it, Mary suggests ways in which humans can be of great help. This book also contains myths of the spirit bear and fun facts about the sea wolves and the spirit bear.

This book had a positive impact on me, as it made me more environmentally conscious. In recent times, when climate change and the harmful effects of human activities have become a global problem, I commend Mary for using this book as a means of advocacy and to educate children. Beyond the problem, I was pleased that this book offered practical solutions on how everyone could help protect the environment. The illustrations by Sue Todd were visually appealing and engaging for kids. I learned more about the spirit bear and sea wolf, which I found fascinating. The writing is organized, well-paced, and easy for kids to comprehend. I found this book both educational and motivating. I recommend Enough to Share by Mary Helen Berg to all young readers. Those who love nature and animals would also appreciate this book.

Enough To Share is a children’s picture book written by Mary Helen Berg with illustrations by Sue Todd. It follows the baby Spirit Bear and Sea Wolf, two endangered animals that live in the Great Bear Rainforest in British Columbia, Canada. They used to enjoy eating fish and roaming the forest, but life has become unbearable. Humans pollute their rivers with fuel, overfish, and cut down trees. Food is running out, and Spirit Bear sticks close to his mother now because grizzlies are prowling nearby. The water is bad, too, so Sea Wolf can barely drink from it. Still, there is some hope. People are speaking up for the Great Bear Forest, pushing for recycling, standing up against pollution, and deforestation. Thanks to their efforts, maybe there will be enough food for Sea Wolf, Spirit Bear, and everyone else who calls this place home.

Enough To Share is an inspiring story that sheds light on issues of deforestation, pollution, and climate change. These issues are not only being faced by us, but are going to get worse if we keep destroying the environment. It is important to educate kids on the reasons behind climate change so that we can all take proactive measures to protect the planet. Mary Helen Berg has provided tips on how kids can contribute, such as raising money that can be donated to organizations addressing climate change, for example, by having a lemonade stand. Telling the story of the challenges that the Great Bear Rainforest faces through Sea Wolf's and Spirit Bear's eyes personalizes the issues and makes it easy for readers to sympathize with the characters. The illustrations are beautiful and perfectly complement the story. They bring the forest and the animals to life. I loved this book and recommend sharing it with your children because it is a roadmap to a more environmentally conscious future by inspiring them to take action and protect our planet.
