Ghost City is a work of fiction in the science fiction, action, and adventure subgenres and is best suited to the general adult reading audience. Penned by author John P. Warren, this exciting and suspenseful novella takes us on a thrilling journey into deep space where the mystery of alien DNA on meteorites sparks an interstellar mission. Captain Atina Morgan leads the crew aboard The Mentor, leaving her husband, Captain Rodger Davit, behind. The spacecraft disappears without a trace. Years later, Davit and his crew encounter cosmic forces and discover a mysterious circular structure — the Ghost City.

Author John P. Warren has crafted an atmospheric and engaging cosmic odyssey, seamlessly blending elements of space exploration, extraterrestrial mysteries, and the power of the human spirit against all odds of survival. Warren crafts a narrative that explores the vastness of outer space but delves into the complexities of our relationship to one another and to ourselves as human beings, and it’s a tall order in such a succinct novella that is delivered with style and precision. The suspenseful plot keeps readers on edge, eager to unravel the enigma of the Ghost City and the fate of the lost crew as the scenes move swiftly but still pack a huge action-fuelled punch at every turn. The exploration of the unknown is particularly well-crafted to offer an eerie suspense that delves into the darker aspects of science fiction and plays on the psychology of the central cast (and, indeed, the reader) beautifully. Overall, I would certainly recommend Ghost City as a mystery-packed adventure tale that is easily devoured and lingers in the mind long after you’ve set it down.
