Meet Granny Annie in the children's picture book story Granny Annie & the Happy Moon Cats by Reesa Grace. Granny Annie owned a bread shop and she enjoyed making people happy with her delicious warm bread. Granny waited but no customers came. She wondered if her dream would ever come true. Things changed one night when there was a knock on her door and a creature standing outside. The creature introduced Granny Annie to its mother, the Happy Moon Cat who was the bringer of happiness. The Happy Moon Cat left her children, the Little Moon Cats with Granny Annie. Granny Annie's once-quiet shop became busy, and there was happiness everywhere.
'The world is never too big for us to share happiness' - this message conveyed in the story is encouraging and will motivate children to make others happy. The illustrations by the author are adorable and I loved the concept of Moon Cats being the bringers of happiness. It is wonderful to see Granny Annie's dreams come true. This is a magical story for classroom and school library read aloud and storytelling sessions because of its beautiful message and enchanting illustrations. It is a good bedtime storytelling book for parents and grandparents to read out to their kids and grandkids to help them realize how important it is to make others happy. Everyone is in search of happiness in their lives, and I like the way the author makes it whimsical and magical for children to read and understand the concept.
