Any woman can go from being overwhelmed to awesome. Author of Happy Woman Happy World, Beate Chelette, is a trainer, coach, and speaker who frankly states that you can have it all, but not everything at the same time. Chelette’s concept of ego-RHYTHM allows women to examine and define what is most important during their various stages of life, set a Main Focus, and re-structure for a better Work-Life Balance. Happy Woman Happy World also touches on feminism and the unforgiving situations in careers where women versus women scenarios take place. This is where she introduces The Women’s Code, to instill a new awareness on how women relate to each other, and provides better exemplars for women on how to give support and collaborate to truly achieve happiness with their lives.
Beate Chelette nails everything regarding women’s internal and external struggles. She is very straight to the point, every fact and discussion are bared with no tangential details. I like her ego-RHYTHM concept, which is “an event or occurrence that takes place over a period of time, usually three to four years. It is a major, life-changing influence that determines your Main Focus.” As a person who tries to focus on too many things in my life and succeed in all of them, this concept is what I really need right now. Another strength of this book is The Women’s Code. Instead of helping each other, women tend to eliminate one another in their careers. This is definitely an eye-opener and The Women’s Code addresses this dilemma accordingly. Simply put, Happy Woman Happy World is undeniably empowering.
