Insequor by Richard Murphy may seem like a train wreck, but oh boy, is it good! It is about a normal man who was given the chance to become an extraordinary one. However, there was a catch and it was not what you would expect. Daniel Loman was just a man, but his life was changed. He was one of the people one day and the next he was one of the most influential people. Nonetheless, when everyone failed him, he became a passing traveller, not staying in one place for too long for enemies to find him or for that one Robot to find him and destroy his existence. He thought taking help from Professor Grey, a mysterious scientist, would assist his case. Nevertheless, this backfired on him big time. The line between right and wrong is very thin and nothing seems real anymore. What can Daniel do when all the odds are stacked against him? Can he even make it out alive?
If it were up to me, I would put this novel in the absurd category. Yes, it is science fiction, but it is so much more than that. The characters were wonderfully human, the plot may seem a bit over the top, but once you get into it, you will love it. You will have to figure out things on your own, which I absolutely love. Not everything is spelled out for you and you have to earn it to know it. All in all, it is a very good novel that I would certainly read again. Nice cover!
