A chilling murder mystery that took place seventy years ago is followed by a haunting in a village church that spans the decades in the thrilling tale Isabel's Light by Andy Jarvis. Ed and Baz are employed by the Holy Heating Company and install heating systems for churches. Their newest contract is to replace a pre-war heating system in St. Marks, a lovely rural Gothic church. While they are digging up the old pipes, Ed and Baz uncover more than they ever dreamed possible, beginning with spying a cold black mist hovering over the floor. Then Ed finds a baby's corpse, which is followed by the appearance of a young woman's ghost. The terror doesn't end there; a dark entity swoops down from above, streaking through the sanctuary, brushing them as it flies past. All of these events compel Ed and Baz to help the incumbent priest unravel a decades-old unsolved murder. Can they discover the unsavory secret the villagers have kept hidden all these years and dispel the shadows surrounding the church?

Isabel's Light by Andy Jarvis is a spine-tingling murder mystery. It is a masterfully written mystery about a formidable villain and supernatural forces shadowing the sanctity of a quiet village. The story line vividly portrays how a priest abused his spiritual authority and pushed the boundaries of right and wrong. In contrast, simple men with ordinary lives are the heroes, balancing darkness with the light. This opposition, combined with the conflicts within the plot, build the tension to a climactic finale. The eerie atmosphere of the setting and the suspenseful plot keep you on edge, anticipating the unexpected. It is an exciting and bone-chilling Gothic mystery, and I recommend it to those who love murder mysteries with supernatural influences.
