Legend of the Silver Hunter: Omnibus Edition by Kethric Wilcox is a paranormal romance that equally explores themes of the legendary beauty and the beast and homosexuality. What happens when beauty hunts the beast? Kieran Belle is the descendant of the House of Beauty and a tracker whose life is devoted to hunt down and kill shifters. But he doesn’t want to spend his life killing shifters. So he flees to Little Rock, Arkansas where he meets the boy of his dreams, Corwin Cooper, descendant of the line of shifters.

When Kieran and Corwin visit Kieran’s family, it is with the hope of sharing their joy with them, but what awaits them in Maine is nothing like they expected. The head of the Oisín Clan to which Kieran belongs is the Silver Witch. Can Corwin feel accepted in the family that is diametrically opposed to his kind? And will their love have the strength to survive the challenges ahead, the mistrust from a rival clan, and the stout opposition from the maternal grandmother and matriarch of the clan?

Kethric Wilcox writes a beautiful romance featuring creatures of legend and treating homosexual love with the sensitivity and skill it deserves. Readers meet Kieran and Corwin and follow them as their attraction for each other evolves through their college days. The backgrounds of the characters are well developed, reinforcing the paranormal aspect of the tale. Legend of the Silver Hunter: Omnibus Edition features great prose and a setting which takes readers into the wilds and then brings them back to civilized society. The images evoked in this narrative are strong and the author enriches the story with realism. Fans of paranormal fiction will enjoy the characters and the conflict of a love between two young men from rival families.

Legend of the Silver Hunter: Omnibus Edition is an extended collection of paranormal fiction novels by author Kethric Wilcox. Written for adults, this explicit adventure puts a brand new twist on the Beauty and the Beast character types by telling an epic paranormal romance narrative with a gay couple. First in Book One: Tracker, Kieran is the descendant of many hunters who kill shifters, and when he flees a legacy that he disagrees with, he falls for Corwin who just happens to be the very thing his legacy tells him to slay. Later, the following two books chronicle Kieran and Corwin’s romance as they try to reconcile the two warring houses of their ancestors, making for a climactic Romeo and Juliet style mystery.

As a reviewer of several books every week, it’s a delight when you find something truly different and well accomplished. Kethric Wilcox’s inventive genre-mashing and allegorical story line is ramped up for the modern age with LGBTQ and powerful romance, sex, war and violence. Adult romance readers will delight in the impassioned central couple who strive for togetherness throughout extreme adversity, but for me the real charm of the tale was in the backstory and extensive world building of darkly gothic ancient houses. There were so many tropes and patterns from fairytale and classic fiction that got turned on their heads in such inventive ways. For an epic collection of three books, Legend of the Silver Hunter: Omnibus was an engrossing and fast-paced read that surprised me on every page.

Legend of the Silver Hunter: Omnibus Edition by Kethric Wilcox is a compelling paranormal romance with sophisticated characters. Kieran Belle is a descendant of the most powerful of the ancient silver mages and trained to hunt shapeshifters. But when he meets Corwin "Cory" Cooper, he is smitten. Kieran knows he can't kill him. The attraction is quick and they are pulled into a wave of love that defies their differences. But can Kieran convince his family to accept Cory, knowing he is a shapeshifter, and can the Silver Witch give his blessing to their love? The turn of events is interesting and readers will want to follow these two characters on a very challenging journey of love.

Kethric Wilcox's writing is gorgeous. I was pulled in from the beginning by the way the author describes the hunting exercise of Kieran and at the wonderful description of the landscape. The diction is really apt with a unique phraseology; it is punctuated by beautiful and well-written dialogues. The reader gets the feeling that the author understands the life of a hunter very well from the way the protagonist is described. The descriptions capture details of the environment with vividness, allowing readers great images of the landscape and powerful insights into the characters. The characters are well developed and I enjoyed the emotional depth infused into them and their humanity. Themes of same-sex relationships, family, hunting, and love are seamlessly woven into the fabric of the story. Each character is developed with an interesting backstory. Legend of the Silver Hunter: Omnibus Edition has a strong appeal for fans of paranormal romance with strong conflict and complex characters. Kethric Wilcox has a great sense of plot structure, character, and setting.

Lit Amri

The supernatural fantasy Legend of the Silver Hunter (Omnibus Edition) by Kethric Wilcox starts with Volume 1: Tracker. The story of Beauty and the Beast that we know is given a unique perspective where Beast was a shifter killed by Beauty, the huntress. Centuries later, the descendant of Beauty, Kieran Belle, meets the descendant of Beast, Corwin ‘Cory’ Cooper, and falls in love. The Romeo and Juliet ambiance takes hold from this point on. I like the imaginative twist on the classic story, the complex and impressive magic system, and the lead characters are easy to root for and are well developed. I have a soft spot for the young shifter Billy, and I feel that he chose the right path for his life.

In Volume 2: Witch, lovers Kieran and Cory stood against all odds to be together. Kieran introduces Cory to the Oisín Clan, his father's side of the family. However, the pressure of fulfilling the ancient prophecy is getting on everyone’s nerves. Then there’s a hunter called Alex Kincaid, hellbent on finding the lovers as ordered by the mysterious Master. It’s quite a snowball of plot and character development in volume two that will delight and keep readers on edge at the same time. The cliffhanger ending is a perfect way to start Volume 3: Hunter. The invasion of the Oisín Clan’s home, Aodhfin’s death, and Kieran being infected with Ebony magic are not the only obstacles for the star-crossed lovers. All the plot threads are connected and eventually they face the Master and the Beast in an epic showdown. Kethric Wilcox solidly ends the series with this final installment. Some parts of the narrative can be more concise and the plot in Volume 2 could be tighter. That said, this series is an interesting read and will definitely entertain the targeted audience with all the magic, drama and romance. Overall, this is an ingenious modern classic retold by Kethric Wilcox.

Legend of the Silver Hunter: Omnibus Edition by Kethric Wilcox is the complete series that takes a unique approach to Beauty and the Beast. This is a collection of the three novels in the series where the author spins the story of Beauty and the Beast and makes it even more entertaining. An action-packed compilation with a plot that has twists and turns, I enjoyed this roller coaster ride more than I anticipated. By the time I read the third novel, the characters had developed beautifully and seemed to take on a life of their own. The story was brilliant, the characters were awesome, and I simply loved this new approach to Beauty and the Beast.

This is the story of two star-crossed lovers who find that love has the ability to heal all wounds and make you happy, even when the world is crashing and burning. When Kieran Belle decides that he has had enough of his heritage of killing shifters, he walks away from the House of Belle. He had no idea that he would come across Corwin Cooper, a shifter with whom he falls hopelessly in love. Together, these two men find love with each other and happiness. They knew they were each other’s forever and decided that they should meet Kieran’s family to further cement their relationship. But there is something brewing against them. There are forces against them that are too powerful for them to fight alone. Can these two men fight against the odds and rise above the opposition? Can their love prevail?

This was such a surprising series because I did not expect to love it as much as I did. I literally inhaled the whole series in just a couple of days and I don’t regret a moment. I enjoyed the connection between Corwin and Kieran, they were amazing together and they respected each other. I loved how they reached for each other, sought each other out and made sure that the other person was fine. These little tidbits made their relationship even more precious and amazing. The actual story line is amazing as well; the way the author wrote the story in his own way made it even more interesting. I loved it!

Legend of the Silver Hunter: Omnibus Edition by Kethric Wilcox is an engrossing paranormal romance with strong characters and homosexual themes. Kieran Belle is a tracker and his mission is to track and kill shape shifters. Although he is a descendant of the powerful Oisín Clan, headed by the Silver Witch, he doesn’t enjoy the life of a tracker. So, when he runs off to Little Rock, Arkansas, the last thing he expects is to fall in love with the species he should be hunting. He falls for the handsome Cory Cooper, a shifter. And when he decides to bring Cory home to Maine, it is with doubts — no one knows how his family will react to their relationship. But they are about to face the most heartbreaking challenges ever. The one question is: How far are they ready to go just to stay together?

Kethric Wilcox pulled me in right off the bat, thanks to the exquisite beauty of the prose. The language is highly descriptive and the author captures vivid images of the setting where Kieran hunts. The art of hunting is well depicted in the opening pages and readers will enjoy the flirtatious encounter between the key characters. The author explores the emotions of the characters, making them human and flawed and investing them with psychological depth. The narrative is conflict driven and while the author explores the dichotomy between the shifters and the clan of witches and wizards, the story allows a relationship that is taboo, and it’s this element that strengthens the conflict. Great dialogues, a wonderful sense of character development, and a cunning plot are just a few of the elements that caught my attention. Legend of the Silver Hunter: Omnibus Edition is a satisfyingly entertaining read for fans of paranormal romance and readers who love beautiful prose and an exciting plot.
