Julie Winters, how could he forget her? They had met ten years back after having argued with his wife. Tom remembers having a brief fling with her where he carefully concealed his identity. Now the same woman was sitting across from him at his office. What was he to do? Tom could not help heaving a sigh of relief as Julie left the room without recognizing him. His meetings with her, however, were far from over and Tom soon realizes that even actions that took place ten years ago have dire consequences. Sometimes they can even tear your life apart. Julie is amongst five short stories in Love, Life & Dreams: A Cocktail of 5 Short Stories by Rebekah Louise.
Every story is told uniquely and from a fresh point of view. Some of the stories carry a theme of hope while others are quite eye-opening. What stood out for me in each of the stories were the lessons contained in all. Somehow Rebekah Louise manages to create an engaging story line for each of the five plots. The suspenseful turns and twists within each story grabbed my attention and showcased Louise’s writing ability. All the characters are well-defined and possess strong characteristics that kept me emotionally engaged all the way. Suite 200 was my best. The turn of events in the story intrigued me. I have always loved good endings. Love, Life & Dreams: A Cocktail of 5 Short Stories by Rebekah Louise is simply the kind of book that stays with you for a long time.
