In Luna’s Little Library, author Denise Marie introduces young readers to the world of Luna, a little girl who loves books, and her adorable puppy named Winnie. Quick to find solace in stories, Luna has a brilliant idea. Why should she keep all her favorite books to herself, when she could let everyone experience the magic and wonder of her favorite stories? With the help of her Grandpa Jim’s construction skills and her Grandma Ida Mae’s famous homemade lemonade for necessary hydration, she builds her very own library. Here, people of all ages can find wonder within words, and get lost inside a good book. Accompanied by beautiful watercolor illustrations on each page, the reader will feel immersed in the story, and perhaps feel inspired to visit their local library.

Books can open up worlds of possibility, and show you dreams that you didn’t even know you had. Luna’s Little Library is a sweet story about the power of books and the way they can create worlds of wonder. As someone who spent countless afternoons in my childhood sitting cross-legged with a pile of books at my local library, I could truly see myself in Luna. This is such a special book to encourage kids to keep falling in love with reading. It also shows that no dream is accomplished alone. Just like how Luna involved her family to make her dream come to life, kids can rely on their community to turn their ideas into reality. I loved this story by Denise Marie.
