In May Flowers at the Three Coins Inn by Kimberly Sullivan, Lisa sets off on an Italian adventure filled with excitement and joy by connecting with an eclectic group of fellow tourists: an aging artist from Milan, a reclusive novelist from Rome, and a wealthy mother and her son from New York. She discovers she is not alone; others have their own issues, and together they can help one another regain enthusiasm and passion for new relationships.
In May Flowers at the Three Coins Inn, Kimberly Sullivan’s research into Italian history and architecture paints a delightful picture. The cities and towns, the rugged landscape, and the people are so charmingly described that it felt as if I were there. Sullivan took me on an emotional roller coaster, from the unbridled joy of the young boy at each new experience to the sorrow of an aging artist facing regrets over a long-lost love. Just like the advice given to her reclusive novelist, the author allows us to observe these characters closely, ensuring our understanding of what makes them tick. She carefully establishes connections between them. Each character blossoms in the romantic setting of the Three Coins Inn.
