Messiah Interviews begins with the story of Yoseph and Yinnon, twin brothers. Yinnon’s life is very different from Yoseph. Yinnon is miserable. He is bi-polar, depressed, and psychologically distressed. Later in the book, we discovered that Yoseph and Yinnon is one person, two personalities.

About a third of the way into Messiah Interviews, the author turns his writing to fiction. Yoseph is taken to heaven for an interview for the position of the Hebrew Messiah. The reader will recognize the name of many of the interviewers: Gabriel, Michael, Methuselah, Chanoch, Seth, King David, Moses, Jacob, Abraham and Isaiah. Their questions cause him to search deep in his soul. Yoseph is flawed. Other candidates that are much more qualified are also being interviewed.

I found this book very interesting. I enjoyed learning more about the Jewish faith. I had never heard of the Shechinah Third Temple. The Old Testament has always held a great interest for me. Jerry J. Pollock has an unusual way of educating readers.

I found this book a bit confusing in places and brilliant in others. The author jumps from his story to his vision/fictional account. Being unfamiliar with much of the Jewish faith put me at a disadvantage. If I had more knowledge of Judaism before reading this book, I would have understood more. Having said that, I learned much from Yoseph’s answers to his inquisitor’s questions.
