Hop on for a fun-filled adventure tale featuring a young boy and his loving mom with Mommy-Son Day. Written by Rachel Florence Myer and illustrated by Kathy Lee, this rhyming picture book tells the story of a little boy who wakes up one special morning and realizes it's Mother and Son's Day. The boy wakes his mom up and begins his day of adventure with blueberry pancakes for breakfast. Soon, mom and son are on their way to feed the ducks in the pond, have fun in the playground, and share a nice picnic at the park. But the day is not over yet, as there are still chocolate ice creams to be enjoyed and toys to be played with when they reach home. Later his mom will tuck the young boy into bed.
Mommy-Son Day is a must-read for parents with toddlers. Rachel Florence Myer has written a beautiful story celebrating the bond between a mother and her son. Children grow up fast in their early years, as time seems to fly by for parents. This picture book captures those moments of a child's life when everything is new and fresh and their mother is their best friend. Myer's rhymes are catchy and easy to sing along with. At its core, it's a delightful adventure for young readers featuring colorful illustrations. Kathy Lee's artwork is visually stunning and complements Myer's storytelling perfectly. Readers will love the portrayal of the relationship between the young boy and his mother. I had a wonderful time reading the book, and I highly recommend parents read this as a bedtime story to their young kids.
