More Than You Know is another thrilling installment from the Warren Steelgrave series by Gary E. Smith. Taking a break from his relationship with Cindy O'Brian, Warren Steelgrave, a writer, visits Italy and soon finds himself embroiled in the conspiracy of a nefarious terrorist group named Allies of Palestine that plans to bomb a famous synagogue. Along with his friend Jack Sullivan and a young reporter named Amata, Warren delves into the investigation. However, the arrival of FBI agents in Italy also inevitably gets the head of the local mafia, Signor Moretti, interested in the case. Meanwhile, Warren and his friends discover that the initial target of the bombs was a distraction. Amata also falls in love with Warren, much to his chagrin. Additionally, Warren becomes the target of a brutal assault.

More Than You Know offers readers an entertaining mix of suspense, mystery, romance, and intrigue. This novel will be perfect for readers who love fast-paced espionage adventures set in exotic locales. There's also the added element of sleuth mystery, which brings another immersive component to the narrative. Gary E. Smith ensures the overall tone is always light-hearted, even when the stakes are high and your favorite characters are in danger. The story features a lot of romance as the protagonist navigates the love of three different women, all while trying to solve an international terrorism plot. The plot is unpredictable from start to finish and keeps the reader guessing as to what will happen next. I found the ending very satisfying. Recommended to mystery and adventure readers!

In More Than You Know by Gary E. Smith, Warren Steelgrave is back in Italy, and before long various things start unfolding. Someone has been stalking him, and, eventually, they leave a thumb drive in his mailbox. Warren also links up with an old friend called Catherine. After getting back to his house, Warren realizes that the thumb drive contains memos describing a plot to bomb The Great Synagogue of Florence; the information is from a reporter friend who Warren suspects might be in danger. Meanwhile, Catherine is not returning his calls. Could she be also in danger? Warren is determined to make sure both Catherine and Amata are safe, and, with the help of Jack and others, both women are found. They start exploring another theory about the bombing. What if the information given to Amata is just a ruse?

Gary E. Smith does not disappoint in More Than You Know. The writing was crisp and engaging, which ensured I was glued to my couch from the start to the end. I loved the seamless flow of the plot, leaving no room for confusion of the reader, like how the story of Catherine fitted perfectly in the main plot. The characters were also well-developed, and the vivid descriptions of events and places helped create a mental picture of what was happening. The reader will also appreciate the well-crafted dialogue and the excellent narration, which keeps one intrigued and eager to discover the next twist in the plot. This was a thrilling and satisfying read, and I look forward to reading something else by this talented author.
