My Little Pillow Book by Laura Melguizo Pérez is a colorful collection of encouraging and interesting prose poems and suggestions that will make readers appreciate and admire the beauty of life with a new perspective. What makes the author happy are small things that happen around us daily and she shares them with readers so that they learn to appreciate the beauty around them, and brings out the creativity in the minds of readers.

All the poems are fresh and have a unique charm and evoke good feelings while reading them. The author’s ideas are comforting and they give hope and joy to readers. The writing style is different and reads in many places like prose poems, and in many other places like short tips for readers. The words are evocative and I like her views on wealth and money, where the author terms it as a way to fulfill basic needs. She makes readers aware of their surroundings and motivates them to listen and look at things around them with a keener eye. 'What Makes Me Happy’ is beautiful and motivating and will help readers make a list of their favorite things that usually put a smile on their faces. ‘Autumn’ captures the colors and the changing mood and flavors of the season vividly. It’s a book worth reading as it will help everyone to look at things in and around them in an insightful manner and rediscover their creative minds.
