No Stone Unturned is the first book in the Happy Camper Mystery Series by M.S. Peke. After her two-decades-long marriage falls apart, former reporter Winnie Hackleshack arrives at Yellowstone National Park to rekindle her adventurous spirit. Upon her arrival, she meets a young Ukrainian girl named Anita, with whom she forms an instant bond. However, when Anita's dead body turns up in the woods the next morning, Winnie is determined to find the killer. Alongside her faithful rescue dog Patches and Park Ranger Jennifer Malone, Winnie delves deep into the investigation. When she finds Anita's notebook, new details emerge that point in the direction of the abandoned mines around the park. But Winnie must be careful before her loved ones get hurt. Can Winnie catch the culprits and solve the mystery of the missing gold?
If whodunnit murder mysteries are your jam, No Stone Unturned is right up your alley. Author M.S. Peke weaves an intriguing plot filled with suspense, thrills, and mysteries to deliver a strong entry to what promises to be an entertaining sleuth/mystery series. The narrative moves at a blistering pace, with unexpected twists and turns that keep you guessing about what's to come in the following pages. Winnie is an immensely likable protagonist you find yourself instantly attached to. Her relationships with Jennifer, Sabrina, and Martin provide readers with a closer look at her as an individual, someone who cares deeply about her friends and family. I recommend No Stone Unturned to anyone who enjoys sleuth stories or murder mysteries.
