In Nymph Resurrection by Donetta Breeden, Nika and her family have always had a deep connection with the forest. Their love of the different things that happened in nature soothed and calmed them in very different ways. Nika waits in anticipation for the day that the new queen awakens and is ready to fulfill her destiny. Phoebe, left for a man to raise, was the center of everyone’s life. She had a destiny to fulfill but planned to go to Greece to work on her thesis. Alex, the man destined to possess her love, is continuously tortured by his need for Phoebe. She is set on the path to be the queen, with everyone waiting for her to step into her role. Will Phoebe be able to become what she is destined to be? Will Nika and the other Warriors be able to protect her when the tetrad begins?
I loved the magical, epic edge of Nymph Resurrection, which was all too easy to get caught up in. The suspense and romance that intertwine throughout the story make the drama so intriguing that it is almost impossible to put this book down. The twists and turns kept me hanging on and turning the pages. I loved how the characters are so well-defined and have inner thoughts that make them and their role in the story believable. I recommend Nymph Resurrection by Donetta Breeden to adult readers who enjoy a story that will keep them hanging on, waiting to see what happens next.
