Meet Colt, Addi, Annie, Brit, Cora, Cash, Piper, and Bandit in the story Oak Street Treehouse: The Day They Messaged God by Dick Daniels. The six kids were playing games on Saturday morning and Brit took the tablet. Annie's mom let them use it in case they wanted snacks. The kids decided to send a message to God. They sent the message and went back to playing. They were sure that God would not reply. The 'ding' sound made them scramble to the tablet and they saw that God had replied. He asked them to go out of the treehouse and look up at the sky and then come back and tell him what they saw. They all looked and went back inside, listed everything they saw and messaged back to God. What reply did God give them?

It is a beautiful story that will encourage kids to become more observant of their surroundings and appreciate every single thing nature has to offer. The book is also good to help children have faith and belief in God. The illustrations are wonderful and they will enchant young readers and grab their attention by making the scenes and characters vivid. I like the way the author knits together the concepts of God, creation, and technology seamlessly, conveying a lot of good messages to readers. That makes it a good story for children to get acquainted with three important things. This is definitely a must-read for children during their growing up years.
