“Prayers and Promises for My Little Grandchild” is a precious little book just for grandparents, written to give you special times with all of your grandchildren. The format of the book is neat, with a little devotion and a scripture verse and prayer to go along with the devotion. Some of the sections are God Made Things Beautiful, God’s Special Creation, A Loving Friend, and Memorials and the Grand Piano. And all of these are written to encourage children and their grandparents with promises from God’s word. My favorite is 'God’s Special Creation' where the author talks about how each of us are carefully sculpted by God; we are wonderfully made by God, just like a piece of art. And I love the verses the author used: Psalm 139: 13&14 from the New Living Translation of the Bible - “You made all the delicate, inner parts of my body and knit me together in my mother’s womb. Thank you for making me so wonderfully complex! Your workmanship is marvelous.” And there are many more sweet promises and insights for grandparents and grandchildren to feast on.
And there are no words to describe the beauty of the pictures throughout this book. There are no pictures any more precious that grandparents with grandchildren such as Laurie Snow Hein created in this book. And I really want to go on and on about the pictures, but you need to pick up a copy and see for yourself. So if you are a grandma or granddaddy, or will soon be one, this book is a MUST for you! I assure you it will be one your grandchild will have you read to them over and over.
