Sass Green’s Rich & Sexy is a slow-burn forbidden romance featuring Emma Blake’s determination to prove she can survive without her father’s money. When Emma boards the plane, she learns that an attractive older man has upgraded her to a first-class ticket. Not giving their names, Emma tries to join the Mile High Club, but the man stops when he realizes she is a virgin. Emma is disappointed when he ignores her after their flight. On her first day at Russo Enterprises, Emma meets Tony Russo, whom she immediately recognizes as the man from the plane. The next day, Emma is walking home from the subway when she feels someone watching her. At her apartment, her roommates show her a letter from a stalker that says he is watching them. What does the Sentinel want? If Emma tells Tony about the stalker, will he help her?

Sass Green builds suspense by keeping Tony Russo a mystery man with power. His attraction to Emma goes beyond her physical attributes as he describes her intelligence and analytical abilities to his business associates. Emma is given the perfect details of a realistic, naive nineteen-year-old. Her feelings control her; therefore, she doesn't see that she is acting hypocritically toward her father's new wife. Julie is a human resources nightmare. She provides a fountain of information about others that crosses the ethical boundaries of confidentiality. The unpredictable plot becomes even more twisted with the stalker's letter. I could envision the panic of the three girls because their tiny apartment didn’t seem secure anymore. A darker subplot unfolding led to a cliffhanger ending that made me eager to read the sequel. Rich & Sexy will appeal to fans of slow-burn romances with danger lurking in the background.
