Roobala Take Me Home by Jeffrey Penn May is a science fiction novel that blends humor, romance, and adventure as it follows Jesse Enoob, a repo man for the WACOFF Corporation. What begins as a routine tuba repossession spirals into a galactic quest filled with quirky characters, sexually charged aliens, and the pursuit of Roobalas, the essential galactic currency. With sharp wit and surreal situations, the story explores themes of love, identity, and heroic delusions in a universe where the absurd is the norm.

Author Jeffrey Penn May has crafted an absolute gem of surreal adventure fiction packed with inventive world-building and offbeat humor. This is a vividly imaginative space odyssey that keeps readers entertained and engaged. The author’s skillful blend of satire, romance, and adventure offers a unique and refreshing take on science fiction, yet it never wanders too far into being silly or not making sense, allowing the narrative to remain both thought-provoking and fun. The character of Jesse Enoob is delightfully simple at first glance with a more complex arc of discovery as the story deepens, and our hero has plenty of humorous flaws to chortle at along the way on his endearing quest for love. The utter chaos of the cosmos happening all around him is well-timed and presents new challenges so that we can root for Jesse throughout. Some brilliant surprises were unexpected but made total sense to this satisfying plot. Overall, I would certainly recommend Roobala Take Me Home to fans of beautifully surreal sci-fi everywhere.
