Immerse yourself in a gripping monster tale with Christopher Flowers' Shackleford Banks Sasquatch. Tom's weekend trip to Crystal Coast in North Carolina turns into a nightmare when he comes across something only known as myth. After Erica, Tom's girlfriend, tells his best friend Michael that Tom is missing, Michael sets off for Shackelford Banks in search of his friend. He teams up with Cape Lookout National Seashore Ranger Herman Nevelle, and soon they stumble upon Tom's shoe. However, when they find Tom's hand detached from his body, Herman suspects something sinister. With the local law enforcement joining the search party, Michael and Herman get closer to the creature that has brutally massacred Tom. But by doing so, they are putting themselves in mortal danger. Soon, a bloodbath ensues, leaving Herman to devise a plan to stop the monster.
Shackleford Banks Sasquatch is an absolute must-read for readers of monster horror/thriller stories. Fast-paced and filled to the brim with mystery, suspense, and intrigue, this action-packed novella will have you biting your nails at regular intervals. Christopher Flowers drenches the narrative with tension and dread to keep readers on the edge of their seats, turning the pages in eager anticipation to learn what's coming next. Every action sequence raises the stakes higher, and Flowers makes sure to describe them in vivid detail. You can almost visualize the imagery in your head, and that's the hallmark of a great writer. The ending leaves room for a sequel, which I'm definitely looking forward to reading soon. If you're a fan of monster horror tales, this will be right up your alley!
