Addison's Delaware Discovery is a children's adventure by Laura James. Addison Anderson is a precocious young girl with a lot of adorable pets. She is excited for her upcoming trip to Delaware with her family. Upon arriving at the Dixons' family home, Addison and her younger brother, Albert, meet Danny Davis, a young boy whose parents have recently gotten divorced, and Daisy Dixon, a kind-hearted young girl who is suffering from Juvenile Disc Disorder. Seeing Daisy doesn't have many friends, Addison is determined to help her make some. After discovering the swamp monster, Addison and her friends organize a fun-filled birthday party for Daisy, where the "Delaware Drooler" is set to make an appearance. What kind of adventures are in store for Addison, Daisy, and the rest of her friends?

Addison's Delaware Discovery is a captivating picture book for kids. With eye-catching illustrations and clever wordplay featuring the letter "D", this adventure is sure to engage young readers from start to finish. Laura James's book is not only entertaining but also gently teaches children how to interact and support other kids with disabilities. Packed with mystery, humor, and charm, the narrative focuses on the theme of friendship and how youngsters can bring joy to their friends through fun and games. The characters are very likable with lively personalities. Addison, Daisy, Danny, and Albert act and talk like real-life kids. Their conversations are funny and engaging. Illustrator Mariya Stoyanova's artwork is the cherry on top and complements James's storytelling beautifully. I enjoyed this book and heartily recommend it to young readers.
