Poquito, a little Chihuahua, lived with his family on a small ranch at the edge of Rancho Grande, a huge cattle ranch. All kinds of wild creatures roamed and Poquito watched from the front porch of his house. One day Poquito heard a howl in the distance and he smelled trouble. He woke up his best friend Oso, a German Shepherd, who reminded him that it was his turn to stand watch that night. Oso closed his eyes and went back to sleep. A strange and terrible odor came when a gust of wind blew and Poquito felt it was a monster. Poquito dashed towards the street light and found himself face to face with three ferocious animals. Poquito was terrified and for one moment he decided not to be a watchdog anymore. He called Oso for help but he was snoring on the porch. One of the shaggy creatures bit Poquito's hind feet. Oso thought he would set up a stakeout to capture those critters so that they would not hurt the family. Would Poquito get a chance to prove that he is a real watchdog?
