Stalking Gideon Cain is a pulsating urban thriller written by Kerry Alan Denney. Brendan Callahan-McCallum is a successful fiction novelist whose life takes a drastic turn when a series of encounters with women acting like his fictional characters leave him questioning his sanity. Plagued by visions of his dead wife, Brendan becomes further spooked when he discovers that he is being tracked and followed by men working for an unknown enemy. Things take a turn for the worse as his friends and family get attacked alongside a private detective whom Brendan hired to solve the case. After he is forced to leave the sanctuary of his house, Brendan becomes convinced that answers lie in his past, and he must now do everything to discover the identity of his unseen nemesis.
Fast-paced and highly entertaining, Stalking Gideon Cain is a delicious page-turner that fans of thriller novels are bound to enjoy. Author Kerry Alan Denney crafts an absorbing tale of revenge that instantly grabs your attention and fills it with numerous twists and turns to keep you hooked through the pages. The characters are well-realized, and the main protagonist, Brendan, feels relatable and sympathetic to make you root for him. I also found myself caring for the side characters, especially Randy Garcia and Rebecca Roma. I found the nanotechnology used to infiltrate bloodstreams a terrifying prospect but a fascinating concept nonetheless. There's not a single aspect of Stalking Gideon Cain that I didn't like. I enjoyed it thoroughly and would recommend it to readers who enjoy a well-written thriller.
