But a week ago, Grandpa fell from his bike into a ditch. Now, he's in the hospital with a bump on his forehead, and he still hasn't woken up yet. Stella visits the hospital frequently and tells him stories, including one about Grandma's rhubarb pie. However, Grandpa continues to sleep. Stella and the Magic Stone (Stella Series #1) by Tuula Pere is the story of Stella, a little girl who enjoys spending time with her grandfather. Stella had no idea what to do when he was hospitalized after a bike accident. She only wanted one of her favorite people in the world to wake up from his unconscious state in a hospital bed. Stella was trying to make him feel better by telling him the best jokes she knew and reading him poems. After sleeping on the problem, she came up with an excellent solution: a magical stone! She just had to give it to Grandpa, and he would improve, wouldn't he? In this wonderful picture book, follow this determined young girl on her mission to save her grandfather and learn about the power that children hold.

Stella and the Magic Stone tells the story of how a child responds when a family member is ill, as well as their desire to help. Stella's passion for rocks, along with her tenacity and innocent heart, made her an appealing figure for me. It's not simple to handle a scenario like the one shown in this book with youngsters, so I appreciate how clearly it's described. Lisa's persona is also treasured since it depicts an often-overlooked reality. This book exemplifies Tuula Pere's talent for crafting tales and creating heartwarming books to read with your children. I especially enjoyed the comfort that Sanna Pelliccioni's pictures convey, with such a fantastic blend of sketches and colors. Grab this book and this Stella's heartfelt narrative with a spectacular conclusion.
