Stop This Game: My Life with Bipolar Disorder by Jaka Tomc begins in Ljubljana in August 2010 and his memoir provides an intimate account of how he coped with an incurable and dangerous malady. His mother and uncle tried their best to help Jaka with his mania, loneliness, and depression. Jaka soon found himself strapped to a hospital bed for eleven days, perceived as a danger to himself and others. He documents the daily reports from medical staff including his behavior, treatment, therapy, and medication while suffering from hyper mania, delusions, and activity/thoughts overload. Jaka describes what it feels like to suffer from bipolar disorder, giving the reader a clear insight into his daily life, feelings, and emotional rollercoaster.

I must thank Jaka Tomc for writing Stop This Game. The insights, information, and daily turmoil described by Jaka give the reader a detailed understanding of the lives of people who suffer from mental challenges, including bipolar disorder, mania, and depression. The book is particularly useful to their families and friends who cannot comprehend what people like Jaka go through daily. They should all read this enlightening and educational book. Jaka has shown extreme bravery in dealing with his diagnosis and sharing such a personal story with the rest of the world. Well done, Jaka. The book is professionally written, keeps the reader interested from beginning to end, and is an absolute treasure. It is highly recommended to people of all ages.
