The Fitness Starter Kit: A Guidebook to Help You Upgrade Your Mindset, Build Muscle, Burn Fat, & Pick the Best Supplements Worth Buying by Theimus D. Roberson is an award-winning fitness book that has everything you need to know about how to stay fit and healthy. This author shows that it's easier than you think, and comes down to a basic understanding of what the human body and psyche need. We begin with having the right mindset, being consistent, and move toward basic exercises and understanding strength training. Roberson focuses on key elements like beating boredom with a fresh routine that you can live with and building muscle as well as endurance in the process. Valuable information on supplements is also included.
I like Roberson's easy-to-read style and the fact that he uses language a beginner can understand and relate to. This is the book for those who don't really know how to start a fitness routine as it doesn't complicate the information. It's about making a fresh start or starting over in the right place. Roberson has a unique way of getting to the heart of what fitness is and how important it is--but mainly how easy it is to make a positive change. Another thing I like is the author's attention to a healthy routine for older people. This shows the author's insight into the varying needs of his readers. Improvements don't have to be slow, the author says, and it's a daily lifestyle change, not a sprint. You'll find out how the human body works and how to keep from getting injured as you get fit. The message of "it's never too late to get fit" is one people need to hear. You'll find other good life advice here from exchanging bad habits for good ones to teaching yourself how to have an upbeat attitude with affirmations and possibly meditation if you choose. Make The Fitness Starter Kit by Theimus D. Roberson one of your top fitness books to read this year.
