The Light Reapers: End of the World by Gary Hickman is a terrorist thriller that meets all the qualifications any reader looks for in the genre. An elite team is out to stop one of the most dangerous threats that humanity has ever faced. It is a Special Ops team that will eliminate anything in their way and their mission is simple: infiltrate a terrorist lab where a dangerous bioweapon is being developed, seize the formula and destroy everything. But what they face is something worse than that. The viral weapon is stolen and released on the planet, creating chaos and suffering. The Light Reapers must now rescue the scientist who can develop the antidote for the virus while facing a horde of the infected. Will they be able to locate and rescue the scientist, eliminate the group responsible for the epidemic, and stay safe from the “click-clicks?”
Gary Hickman has crafted a resonant zombie tale that fans of the genre will devour with excitement. The narrative features strong and relevant themes, including terrorism and the surge of a pandemic. Readers will relate to the events narrated in this tale, especially the author’s ability to capture the fear in people facing an apocalypse. The action is pulsating and the story is fast-paced. It is no wonder this blend of fantasy and the terrorist theme is crafted by a writer who has served in the army.
