The Pacifier Tree by Uncle Amos is a fun read for kids that tells them there always comes a time when they have to give up pacifiers. Johnny is always on his pacifier, despite being big enough to give it up. But his mother wants him to give it up on his own and she comes up with a great plan which she shares with the other mothers in the neighborhood. They tell their kids the magical Pacifier Tree will grow only if the kids put their pacifiers on it. And as more and more pacifiers are put on it, the tree will become stronger. Johnny wants to see the tree grow and he decides to give up his pacifier for good.
The book is a fun read and the illustrations make it even more colorful and attractive. It is a perfect story for kids who do not want to give up their pacifiers. It is a wonderful story for parents and children alike. Johnny's mother is amazing to come up with such a good plan and all parents and teachers will enjoy reading this book along with the kids. It is ideal to be read out as a bedtime story book and can also be used in classrooms and libraries for read-aloud sessions. Johnny's maturity has to be applauded and all mothers with kids at home will be able to relate beautifully to the concept.
