The Pig Who Loved Gluffles And One More Story is a short two-story collection by Tony Philips. With colorful illustrations to captivate the reader, this children's book opens with the story of a pig who loved gluffles more than anything in the world. He loved gluffles with bread, gluffles with stew, or just gluffles on their own. After buying up and quickly eating his share of the gluffles he bought from the rabbit, the pig follows him to see where the rabbit gets his gluffles. Unfortunately for him, there remained just a single gluffle on a tree high above the ground. The pig must now decide whether to finish the last remaining gluffle or preserve it for the future of gluffles. The second story follows a flock of birds trying to come up with ingenious ways to stop a tortoise from eating their eggs.
Award-winning author Tony Philips gives a poignant message about environmental conservation with two delightful stories children will have a lot of fun reading. The Pig Who Loved Gluffles teaches the value of preserving natural resources and using them sparingly to ensure future generations have their share of the same. With quirky characters and eye-catching illustrations, Philips tells two fascinating tales kids are bound to love. The rhyming verses make the stories a joy to read and all the more entertaining for it. Books like this are becoming increasingly relevant with the dwindling natural resources of our planet. I had a great time reading this book and recommend it to both kids and parents alike.
