A devastating loss sent Roy Swenson on a life-long quest to find the truth. He didn’t want to fall into the trap of believing only what he was told by religious leaders, renowned scientists or government officials. Gregory Lloyd draws you a picture of a scientific and religious war on continuing advancements. His book, The Sword of Agrippa: Antioch, leads you along a path of fear, lack of freedom, mystical possibilities and a deep sense of rebellion. That path also leads you along complex and futuristic inventions and research experiments. Therefore, you need to have some grasp of words and definitions based in science or be prepared to learn and build your scientific vocabulary. Yet, the story is intriguing and keeps you on edge as to what is going to happen next as those in powerful positions continually try to invalidate and crush Roy Swenson’s efforts. The Sword of Agrippa slices deeper than you might ever be able to imagine as it thrusts you into riveting mystical experiences.

Gregory Lloyd offers you a story within the pages of The Sword of Agrippa that is unique, paranormal, scientific, and futuristic. All the while he interweaves spiritual dimensions, religious dogma, and scientific truths into Roy’s journey. The story has a few graphic scenes that I didn’t particularly care for, but those depictions clearly expressed the intensity and the danger around continuing research and rebelling against those in power. A well-written story, The Sword of Agrippa is one that deepened my curiosity and had me turning page after page with bated breath for the conclusion.
