My emotions were all over the place while I was reading The Tower by Nicole Campbell. It is witty, humorous, emotional and endearing, which led me to keep on reading. It has a special place in my heart because of the sassy female lead, the inspiring side characters and the amazing flow that the author kept throughout the novel. I enjoyed the relationship between Rowyn, Reed and Rosalyn; their dynamics were fun, close and as real as it gets. What I truly enjoyed about this novel is how relatable it was; the story line and the characters felt as if I were talking to a friend.

This is the story of Rowyn, a witch living in a world where witches are not really appreciated. Learning spells and learning to control her power becomes easier because of her friends, Reed and Rosalyn. Life is not easy for a budding witch, but when the people she trusts the most are around her, it is amazing. However, something bad or downright dangerous could be coming their way and they have no idea how they can fight it. The future is going to test their resolve, their powers and the strength of their relationship. Can they stand together until the end?

This simply amazing novel is more about staying together as a family, finding the strength within, and promising to stick together even when the going gets tough. It is a powerful novel, one that had me reading for hours. On the surface, it might be just a simple teenage drama, but once you start reading it, you will realize that it is so much more than that. I absolutely loved The Tower.
