In The Tunnel to Darkness and Light, a children's fantasy written by Tamar Anolic, one year after a war ends, twelve-year-old Aiden finds himself surrounded by darkness. His mom died in the war, and his dad is never around, leaving him feeling more and more alone with each passing day. One night, whilst rummaging for scraps of food, Aiden is approached by a neighbour who offers him food and a bed for the night. Feeling out of place but also grateful for the change of scenery, Aiden spends the night there. The following day, Aiden is taken on a mind-blowing journey into the light. But something prevents him and his newly found friends from returning home. Will they make it back? Or will they be stuck forever in this nice place? Find out in this gripping book.
Tamar Anolic is a creative writer with a passion for suspense. From the moment I began reading The Tunnel to Darkness and Light, I knew I was in for a treat. The quality of the writing allowed me to vividly imagine scenes in my mind's eye, as if they were unfolding right before me. It is jam-packed with adventure, intrigue, heartbreak, and much, much more. I enjoyed the journey of the main character and didn't know how the book was going to end. I won't spoil anything for the reader, but trust me, it packs a punch. Children are going to love reading this wonderful book just as much as I did. I hope to read more from this author soon.
