This is a lovely book that teaches the value of self-empowerment and shows the ways kids can avoid feeling overwhelmed by the voices of self-doubt and overcome their challenges. Children will be drawn to author Tricia Khan's catchy rhyming verses that tell a story they can all relate to. As adults, we often forget that being a kid is never easy and comes with its own set of challenges. Trouble Is Not Cool! is a gentle reminder of how people can prepare themselves for the inevitable hurdles everyone faces in their lives once in a while. Illustrator Natalia Tymoshenko's fascinating drawings bring a lot of added depth to the tale by further increasing the engagement factor of the narrative. Highly recommended.
