Twilight of Empire: A Resurrection Saga Novel by W.H. Wisecarver is a political thriller that has all the elements a reader looks for, the kind of book that puts the reader on the edge of their seat from the first page. It features an unusual and compelling female protagonist. Senator Andrea “Andi” Jackson knows the accepted version of American history, from winning the Cold War to becoming the world’s banker. But she also knows the country’s secret history and that the vast investment in infrastructure has been done by keeping a whole socio-economic class of underprivileged Americans in perpetual poverty. As a proud daughter of Americans who have stood up to two hundred years of oppression, she is finally in the position where she has to fight the most important battle of her life; the battle to stop The Order from crippling her republic. The most likely ally she seeks out is Kirk Danner who has spent his entire life waging war against the Order, but when he suffers a stroke-like illness, can they summon enough fight against the most powerful enemy of the state?

This is a realistic novel filled with historical hints and vividly captures the American conundrum. The social commentaries are spot-on and the author uses a stream of consciousness to plunge readers into the thoughts and consciousness of the characters, especially Senator Jackson. She is an intelligent character who has found her way from Wall Street to the Senate floor. The writing is gorgeous and it features episodes that are thought-provoking. Readers can find a lot of sense in the social and political commentaries that characterize the writing. W.H. Wisecarver’s Twilight of Empire: A Resurrection Saga Novel is immersive, deftly plotted, and thought-provoking, a book that presents patriotism as the struggle to right the wrongs of history.

Twilight Of Empire: A Resurrection Saga Novel is a work of fiction in the suspense, political thriller, and interpersonal drama sub-genres, and was penned by author W. H. Wisecarver. The work is intended for the mature reading audience and contains sexual situations, the inclusion of explicit language throughout, and some scenes of violence in war. In this third novel in an ongoing saga of dark futures and deep conspiracies, our protagonist is Senator Andrea Jackson, who faces the terrifying prospect of stopping The Order from forcing her new Republic into a dangerous Dark Age. At the crossroads of fate for a new America, there are few who would dare to stand in the way of such tyranny.

Author W. H. Wisecarver has crafted a completely enthralling work of fiction with plenty of tense moments, secrets, and lies to offer its readers. I found that I was able to read this novel without prior knowledge of the other books in the saga and enjoy it as a confidently told story in its own right, although it did spark a lot of curiosity about the rest of the series. The dialogue was also very effective, serving to display the unique traits of the characters whilst moving the plot forward in a natural way, and the voices of different players in this tense game were individually formed and never generic to the political thriller genre. Overall, I would highly recommend Twilight Of Empire: A Resurrection Saga Novel to fans of well-penned suspense fiction, dark alternative futurism, and for fans of American political thriller writing everywhere.

Twilight of Empire is the third novel in A Resurrection Saga by WH Wisecarver. Conspiracies and danger can be found around every corner as every character is left fighting a losing battle. Senator Andrea Jackson knows taking out The Order is not easy, but someone's got to do it, and it has to be her. The fate of her people depends on it, and she will not let them down. She is not the only player in the game, though. Army veteran Paul Henry is ready to jump back into action to save the people from a doomed future. The truth is just out of their reach; all Paul and Andrea have to do is fight harder than they have ever fought to get it. Sacrifices need to be made for the sake of democracy. Who will be the scapegoat, and who will be the hero?

Twilight of Empire is a fast-paced, action-packed thriller that keeps a steady pace. There is never a dull moment in the story, which is all thanks to the author's incredible storytelling skills. WH Wisecarver has crafted a goldmine of great characters and a character-driven plot. The narrative runs smoothly until the very end. The author struck the perfect balance between writing about conspiracies and realities that we all need to face at the moment. While politics play an essential role in the story, it is the themes of struggling to find the truth and fighting for what is right that struck me the most. There are enough twists and turns to keep you entertained for hours, and unable to guess what will happen next. Andrea is a realistic yet excellent protagonist. She sets the bar high for other characters. She is intelligent, dedicated and incredibly good at her job. She knows she has the power to make the change, and she decides to do something about it. It is a fun novel to read, especially if you enjoy heart-racing plots and mind-blowing endings.
