UnMoored is a great book if you want self-healing and transformation. We have all heard the expression about working toward a better version of ourselves each day. You will delight in how Leena accomplished self-healing without even knowing it was happening. She listened to her inner guide, cried those ugly tears, and uncovered trauma so deeply rooted that she did not know it was there. She shares the bits and pieces that eventually made her whole. I love how she explains the different masks we wear and whether we ever reveal the real person underneath. Once we become aware, things change. We crave quiet, like-minded people and learn to let go, listen, and receive. She explains that grief can follow the loss of a job, a relationship, or moving to somewhere new. She explores grief, gratitude, rituals, and multiple ways she discovered healing. I also liked that her healing did not happen overnight or in some perfect order. She took steps forward and backward, tried different things, and slowly discovered what worked for her. I think that makes her story much easier for people to relate to.
UnMoored by Leena Palav could be a movie like The Secret, only better! I feel more people would relate to becoming a better version of themselves after reading it and using it as a tool. I love how Leena's story is based on true experiences. She discovered her own path to self-healing, which is an accomplishment, although her journey does not suggest replacing counseling when needed. She bares her soul to readers and gives each of us ways to bare our own, if we are brave enough to understand what healing requires and do it. There are so many little pieces throughout her journey that can make you stop and think about your own life. You do not have to relate to everything she experienced to find something in her story that speaks to you. Her writing is genuine. I really enjoyed how open and honest Leena Palav was in sharing her journey. I especially liked that your healing doesn't happen in a perfect order; you find your way as you go, which makes your own story feel very real.
