"Why Did the Osprey Poop on my Head" was written by Helene Clarke. The design and layout of "Why Did the Osprey Poop on my Head" is simple and easy to read, with colorful, beautiful drawings for the characters. It is a faith-based educational Children's genre book, but can be enjoyed by all ages. A young boy is fascinated with his pet and best friend and they spend all day together sharing joy, sadness, and life lessons. "Why Did the Osprey Poop on my Head" contains not only a life lesson, but a description of a young child's relationship with a beloved pet.
"Why Did the Osprey Poop on my Head" is a religious, creative, children's book. It is uniquely written to help readers understand why God does good, and allows bad things to happen in people's lives. The message this book gives is, "God is good even in bad situations. Those who know God is good and carry his love with them, will not feel angry and bitter like those who don't." Reading the book as a Christian and a parent, I thoroughly enjoyed it. The message and answers Helene Clarke has provided in the book are most common in a conversation within a religious household. The answer is put very simply, and it is easy for a child to understand. I will be using this book as a reference material when my own children need assistance to understanding why God allows bad things to happen each day.
