The main story line centers on a father and son. Thren Felhorn is one of the greatest assassin's in his time. He rules with an iron fist and will stop at nothing, short of murder. He is determined to bend his son, Aaron, to his will. He wants him to follow in his footsteps and become an assassin. In time, the boy will be the next ruler of the thieves guild. But when he sends Aaron to kill the daughter of a priest, his loyalty ends as he risks his life to protect her.

There is an assortment of secondary characters and sub- plots. The author pulls in religions fighting against each other to win people to their side, a world where daggers and swords rule. The women are strong naturally and are great fighters. This book is high action adventure with many twists and turns. This book will keep readers eagerly turning pages to see what will happen next.
