Author Biography

From fantastical creatures and superheroes to Greek mythology and the undead, the fantasy world has captivated Kane since he was a young
boy. He began telling his own stories through illustrations before he discovered his love and talent for writing. Kane has always enjoyed conducting the research for his stories, and he even convinced his middle-school classmates to spend 10 minutes in the dark in an abandoned building armed with only a tape recorder. Based on their reactions Kane wrote his first chilling horror tale and by the start of high school he had penned several short stories and the beginnings of a few novels.

After earning a dual degree in Mathematics and Psychology, Kane spent more than a decade in the corporate world working in senior management. One day, after realizing that he had veered away from his real passion, he decided to quit his job and dedicate his life to entertain- ing people through his writing. Kane traveled to Romania and Eastern Europe to learn more about the folklore, culture and history surround- ing vampires. Kane blended his experiences abroad with the workings of his imagination to create his award-winning first novel Aleron: Book 1 of the Strigoi Series.

When he’s not writing, Kane travels and talks with readers around the world about his passion for storytelling and the vampire tradition. He also enjoys speaking at book festivals and contributing to writing workshops. Fans of paranormal and fantasy works welcome Kane into the club of talented up-and-coming authors in the genre.

Aleron is a vampire book with a unique approach. The plot is well done. I really cared if Aleron triumphed. The conflict in this book is good versus evil while that is not unusual it was well done and kept me turning the pages. The part I found most unique was following Aleron from fledgling to a mature vampire. There were several aspects of the story that I had never heard of.

The supporting characters were also well done, as they all work together for a common goal, be it good or evil. I could see the action playing in my mind as I read. Blame Kane for my unmade bed and the dirty dishes in the sink. I read Aleron in one sitting. If this book wasn't written so well, I would have gotten my work done!

I'm really impressed with the research that was put into the book. And his bio's as well.

I read this book last week. It was really, really good. Unfortunately, it was way too short. The book needs to be at least 300 pages. Looking forward to the next book. I'm hoping the book will carry on to the modern times.

I'm a longtime fan of vampire tales and stories of the "undead". Aleron is so well-written that it reminds me of two other greats: It is reminiscent of Bram Stoker's Dracula in it's vibrant and detailed descriptions of the land and times and it's comparable to Anne Rice's Interview With the Vampire in it's tales of betrayal and the controversial (and sometimes forbidden) practices of it's characters. Through dialect, dialogue and precise description, Kane manages to animate every chapter. I'm very excited to see what more is to come of the Strigoi series if this was his first! I bet we'll be in for a treat sweeter than a "blood kiss"!

I had the pleasure of editing Kane`s first book, Aleron! He`s a fantastic story teller;I see a movie in his future. What do you think? I anxiously await working on his next project.
