Author Biography

Angela Fincham is an award-winning children’s book author from the beautiful state of Virginia, known for her heartfelt stories and imaginative storytelling. A proud mother of three sons, Angela draws deeply from her own experiences, creating books that connect with kids and spark a love of reading.

Her writing journey began in 2014 with the debut of Not Even A. Mouse, a Christmas story that quickly won over young readers — until the original publisher unexpectedly closed in 2017. But Angela didn’t stop there. Inspired by her youngest son’s growing interest in books (and his two beloved dogs), she started self-publishing fun, beginner-friendly stories that reignited her own passion for children’s literature.

Since republishing Not Even A. Mouse in 2021, Angela has continued to grow her catalog with unique and engaging titles like Hike & Seek, I AM – Positive Affirmations for Kids, Caution: This Book is Full of Poop, A Dandelion Named Daisy, A Seashell’s Journey, and Are You Scared Yet? Her books are known for blending humor, heart, and a sense of adventure — becoming favorites in homes, classrooms, and bedtime routines across the country.

Angela’s work isn’t just about entertaining kids — it’s about empowering them to explore, imagine, and see the magic in everyday life. She’s more than an author; she’s a storyteller who understands the power of words to inspire young minds.

Are You Scared Yet? by Angela Fincham offers young readers a captivating collection of children's eerie tales that will frighten even the most confident readers! From haunted mansions with odd mirrors to strange "animals" and creepy cemeteries, this book sets the perfect Halloween mood. Because many of the major characters in the stories are children, young readers will readily empathize with their experiences and learn many valuable life lessons to prevent situations that are frightening. Will the young reader be able to finish this book? What spine-chilling tales!

Are You Scared Yet? is a children's book packed with intriguing, enigmatic tales that will keep both young and adult readers guessing. I liked and enjoyed all of the stories in the book, but my favorites were the ones with rhymes in the lines. Furthermore, the unexpected presence of these rhymed tales amid normally written ones provides the proper balance to keep readers engaged. Angela Fincham does an excellent job of maintaining a high level of imagination in each chapter, always offering readers little lessons or a witty remark about various ghostly creatures and even touching on modern-day issues such as TikTok addiction. I fell in love with the straightforward yet appealing graphics that appear at the end of each short story; they are the best! I would definitely recommend this book for a Halloween sleepover or for any young reader who enjoys these types of stories. They will not be disappointed with what this book can offer!
