Brain Habits: The Science of Subconscious Success by Phillip John Campbell demonstrates how your brain works and how to improve its functioning to make the best use of your time, energy, and other resources. With 25 years of experience as an executive brain coach, Phillip is your go-to brain expert and has worked with clients to create multiple successful stories. His lessons are revealed in six sections. The first part of the book explores the changes in our understanding of brain science and how the new findings are influencing modern educational and learning programs. Part II to V explains his four pillars of subconscious success, and each contains three brain habits or subconscious thinking habits. Part VI describes how to develop a competent and flexible brain that balances the left and right hemispheres and offers high-quality rewards.

You may wonder how you went through life without knowing this information. Brain Habits has helped me see that developing my crystallized knowledge, which many educational institutions focus on, diverted my attention from how I think and limited my brain's functionality. Campbell writes in accessible language and provides intriguing frameworks and stories to help readers understand brain science better. He not only includes research from many brilliant scientists but builds on their work to provide thoughtful hypotheses and suggestions. The book is filled with lessons and quotes from brain experts, accessible charts, relatable examples, and other reader-friendly elements. If you wish to save more time at work, relate better with colleagues and friends, and reduce distractions, you should read Brain Habits. Cognitive psychology, neuroscience, and learning have never been more intriguing!
