From the start, this book is very uplifting and affirming. The scriptures are in the Message and New International Version so they are not difficult to understand.
Come as You Are encourages readers to get into relationships with others and not just get to know God but also know others. This book is a good reminder that you don't have to be perfect and have it all together. Lisa Troyer emphasizes how important you are in this world and that there is nothing that can stop you from belonging when you are yourself in Christ.
