Diary of a Trillionaire Traveller takes time - like a trillion-year time span - to share the author’s musings on diverse topics ranging from philosophy, science, and religion to conscious awareness of ‘one’ and the psychology of being 'human' (often with self-centered motivations). Fortunately, the author, Hargovind Pant, sets out his adventures in a digestible chapter 'per story’ format. Each standalone entry is beautifully written and easy to follow, yet still knits together at the start and end, with his dear friend by his side, existing here and beyond. To say that the author covers the meaning of life is an understatement. He pops backward and forward in time, between galaxies, focusing our reflections upon the big bang at one end and the simplicity of life at the other. Giving gratitude for his miraculous body, for example, he considers his personal time on earth so far and how he has consumed ‘free’ oxygen (as compared to the cost of oxygen supplied to pandemic patients in hospitals). The best things in life are free he reminds us - the sun, the earth and water. I enjoyed how he dives deeply into topics, like precious water, and gives statistics around freshwater availability, then leaves us pondering issues of access, equity, and the future if we do not change our use.

Diary of a Trillionaire Traveller asks the reader to consider meaningful concepts including origin, evolution, UFOs, and the afterlife. Hargovind Pant explains complex matters simply and evokes thought, emotion and reflection. One minute you are pondering the possibilities of life on other planets, the next considering how one planted seed led humans to an agrarian and stable society. The beauty and fragility of nature is a common theme, brought to bear within the short-sightedness of human consumption. Even as he covers certain extinction of species, and eventually our own, Hargovind Pant never fails to be grateful for life, living, and our time here on earth. He encourages us to do the same. We are mere blips on the trillionaire traveler timeline, but we journey in hope for the future of all things, on our planet and beyond.

Thoughts woven around the inseparable entities of life are very well expressed by the author in ' A diary of trillon traveller'. An expression of gratitude towards life and also an apt valuation of nature's gifts like air, water etc, which are assumed to be 'free' but are not, cautions readers to respect nature's givings. Author also reflects connection between science and meta science with such an ease that even a layman is able to identify the contents of this excellent writing , with his/her own life. Each chapter of the book is a complete story yet connects with full text. Excellent work of story telling which covers evolution, education and also exploitation, in past and present , 'then and now', with moral of the story at the end of every chapter offering valuable insights for future. Narration is lucid. An excellent piece of writing.A must read.
