Could the person you're dating be a murderer? Girl Ghosted by Lucy English is a thrilling murder mystery involving dates set up through an online dating service. Penny Wade is a social worker in Boston and is just an ordinary woman trying to make a difference by helping others. She and Gloria, her roommate of ten years, and their friend Toryn are using an online dating service, looking for lasting relationships. Although they are going on dates, they aren't having the best of luck. When one of Penny's dates turns up dead from a swimming accident, she is stunned. She doesn't believe his death is an accident, so she begins researching all areas of his life. While she is digging into his background, she discovers she has made herself a target. Whoever murdered him is now after her. Will Penny be able to find the killer before she becomes his next victim?
The pitfalls and woes of online dating are well portrayed in the fascinating sleuth mystery novel, Girl Ghosted, by Lucy English. The plot is exciting and the fact that the subplot is as intriguing as the plot made this a hard to put down book. By the time I was finished reading it, I had become a Penny Wade Mystery Series addict. Although it is one book in a series, it works very well as a standalone. The compelling storyline and engaging characters make this an exceptional and unforgettable book. Those who have a penchant for cozy mysteries and amateur sleuths will enjoy this entertaining mystery novel.
